Built between 1902 - 1904, explore this landmark to take a journey back in time. You can book a guided tour but we enjoy a more laidback vibe — self guided audio tours are available online!

Stroll down to the docks to witness the flurry of the fishermen preparing their boats and bringing in the day’s catch. During high season it can be a lively scene! The colorful boats filling the harbor make for a beautiful view.

Foraging is one of our favorite activities! In the summer, you can find Blueberries, Salmonberries and Raspberries growing all around town. If you’re visiting in the later months, you might even luck out and find Highbush Cranberries or Lingonberries! Be sure to study up on identification before consuming any berries you may come across.

Mount Ripinski is a peak in the Takshanuk Mountains just northwest of Haines. The trail up takes about 3 to 4 hours one way, winding through lush forests and alpine meadows filled with wildflowers.
